Comments: Rush Hour Bustle

what station is this? there are some things i do love about the toronto subway system, compared to ours in montreal:

(1) frequency -- at some times late on weeknights, it's nearly 10 minutes between cars here.

(2) the use of the wide-kerned futura-like typeface at each of the stations. also, i will defend with the cool accents (benches, etc) and art of the montreal metro... but I'd pick TO's Vitrolite tiling over Montreal's aging concrete anyday...

(3) the cherry red seats and wide aisles.

This is Eglington station.

Actually, although I do agree that the TTC comes pretty frequently, I still prefer the Montreal metro system over Toronto.

Firstly, I love the spaciousness different decors of the stations. Second, the trains glide like they're on air as opposed to sounding as if 1000 finger nails are running down the blackboard. Thirdly, the trains don't always stop in the middle of the tunnel for no apparent reason. And last, but not least, the vinyl seats are easier to clean than the red cloth on the TTC seats => cleaner seats.
